frist shoot platine rd sport centre

This went pretty much as well as can be expected really for the frist shoot. i cant really decide what format i want to shoot on i have been thinking 5,4 i think i may use that i shot on daylight film wich gave some nice tones so i think i will saty with that. i think some of the images need to have more of the lines on. to concentrate on the form these images are very formal and i think they work i am intrested in having one image wich is just the lines on the ground im not too sure how i will be able to shoot it ladders will need to be used i think.

in these centres they seem to fit as meny corts in as they can and the lines seem to become quite confused and mixed up wich could be read as life being confused perhaps if these lines refure to form and order in life as i intend them to.

also the platine rd sport centre is really intresteing im not to sure if its all sport centres but it seemed to have a really clinckly feel allmost like an hositbal and it was an intresting subject in its own right it could be a problem i hope dont get distracted by that


after speaking to stwart he thinks that their is still to much going on with these images and that they just to busy so i will be looking to shoot these images just with plan walls and try to keep the focouse even more on the lines

this is stwarts work hes a tuture at this college and has helped a lot when i asked him, but i think this is mainly because that his work is simular to mine and hes doing pretty well really but these images are taken from
the work is a pice looking at the regrenation of the west midlands they become much more personal when u relise that this is ware he had grown up so its a much closer look at the subjects i do like these styles of images ware form is most important

these were really nice prints to quite small but i liked that you had to get closer in to them they were more intimate its cool i think its a nice pice showing the reck of soviet Russia

this pice is called sugar soap its grate its a vidio and to be honist i am offtern off put by vidos in galleries but this one was impressive it showed the passing time of this car exploding shot in a stop motion manor and the man puts up the images on the bill borad but it seems to have the same actors doing the same thing and it seemed to run in a system allmost. it got to a point that you could predick who was about to come onto shot wich made it a bit of a game i liked it all

the image at the top is a from a diffent pice but is really quite a lovely style its allmost maga esk. the other are from a serise ware he shoots modles in a passing way allmost a glance

i think that their can be a simularty towards my work in the photographiv style i think these are lovely images with grate deatail thats what shooting large format getts you i want to shoot large format in the next project

The American landscape has influenced photographers for many years. The homogenisation of many middle American towns has meant that chain stores and chain restaurants dominate much of the landscape. Kate is interested in how we contribute to personalising our surrounding environments, asserting our individuality both consciously and subconsciously on a place and the ways in which we exist within these spaces.  It was her intention to seek out expressions of individuality within areas that are gradually being taken over by shopping malls and fast food chains.

im very intrested in differtn and intresting landscapes these are grate i love the  way shes frames the landscape in the image above the hole pice is lovely

i thioght this was a grate project enjoyable to do as well you get to travle round the us showing these well know places ware films wer shot it all most becomes a guessing game about what shot is for what film the project dose detract from the images but im not sure if this is a problem i quite like how the images seem to be shot in the style of the film

i do like the qulity of these images also how their realy aminals their pretty beautfull images i like them. their is a really nice style to them

i couldnt find much of this work online but this was one of the images that i really like from darby i really like the coulours and its called a linch dream their is a hole serise to go with this one image wich looks at the sort of sets that David linch would use and if you know what he has done like twin pieaks then you can see how these sets would fit in

Aaron Schuman

Aaron Schuman is a person that i have hurd of quite alot resontly hes the editor for Sea Saw a online magzine and i read some eassay he did for portfolio resontly but his work is intresting i found it diffucalt to understand what it was about i think it strugles with its message. i think its talking about a dieing idea of the cowboy but whos knows

derby format festival

With this project for my reasurch i am not just going to look at work that is just contempory landscape photography because i have thought perhaps its important to understand what is going on in genural of the world of photography

it was grate i hurd alot of bad things about it from students but i thought it was wicked filled with good work wich orfern was at a high standard i think its worth it just to see a Crewdson print really

this seems like a perfict example to see the most contempory photography from the most famost to some lesser know but intresting work.

Proposal and proposal crit

i wasnt to sure what to do here i had an issue as i thought with the last project i had came up with an answer. so then i started to think what ealse can i look at i wanted to keep a farly symular project but mostly i was unsure

in the crit i explaned that i was unsure of ware i wanted to go then they said that i perhaps didnt answer my project as fully as i thought. the problem with it was that having it out doors kinda ruined the project as would take the attetion away from the form of the images and it detracts from my orignal idea and allmost brings up its own project in its self about tennis and ware it is played also the state of the corts wich is more of a social statument.

so for this project i have decided to refine my last project i want to look at in door sporting areas sport centres manily i think but i dont want to excloude any for now till i come to chosing my final images.
